The advantages of this material for common areas
Why choose sheet stone for your common areas?
There are several reasons. One is the modern look that this wall covering will give to your space. Lobbies, elevators, airlocks and corridors will all be warm and welcoming thanks to natural stone. What's more, stone is an ideal material for heavily used spaces, thanks to its high resistance to everyday shocks. Opt for the visual depth provided by mineral. You'll spend more time here than you think!
Decorating tips
To make the right choice, you need to focus on two criteria: the color and texture of the stone. Authentic and natural, no pigments are added to our stones. Their appearance can therefore vary according to the block used. Treat yourself and listen to your desires to dress up your entrance and make it a modern, warm and trendy space.
Dark stones like our New York or London slate will bring a modern ambience to your common areas, while light stones like Stockholm slate will brighten and enlarge your space. If you're looking for a softer touch, opt for warm tones such as Ankara slate. Warm colors will soften and create a warm ambience. As for texture, the natural flakes in micas will catch the light and make your space luminous. We can recommend our Riga or Oslo models.
The choice is yours!
How do I lay the stone sheets?
Our stone sheets are easy to apply for all DIY enthusiasts. Once the surface has been prepared and cleaned, all you need to do is lay the sheets. The sheets can be applied to all types of surface: paint, wood, tiles, earthenware and even plasterboard. Sheets are easy to cut to size, so application is straightforward. We recommend using a hybrid polymer glue to ensure that the stone sheeting stays in place: this type of glue is renowned for its impeccable hold and watertightness.
Once installed, you can easily maintain and protect your stone by applying an anti-stain product and a cleaning spray. Our products do not alter the color of the stone. Find all our maintenance products here.
