Our Cairo design is a mica with gray-green tones and slightly orange details. This design is slightly textured (2/5) and, as it is a mica, it has a rather shiny appearance (3/5).
Our micas, like our slates & marbles, are 100% natural. All their characteristics are identical to those of a block of stone: durable, rustic, aesthetic. We offer you all the advantages of stone without its disadvantages! Our stone panels are guaranteed to be light, thin, and flexible!
To achieve this result, the steps are simple: we first apply resin and fiberglass to our stone blocks from our Indian quarries. Our slate, mica, and marble are three types of stone that are particularly brittle and therefore ideal for this process.
Once this step is over and the agglomerate is dry, we manually remove the panels, one by one, from the entire block of stone. This process was developed by the founders of StoneLeaf.
Of course, it is a natural product, so each panel is unique. However, we guarantee the delivery of panels from the same block to keep a certain homogeneity in the structure and the possible patterns of each panel.
Cairo is available in 2 sizes: 1220 x 610 mm (you will receive them flat) and 2400 x 1200 mm (you will receive them rolled up).
Cairo exists in 2 finishes: StoneLeaf Classic Cairo (opaque resin) or StoneLeaf Translucent Cairo (transparent resin on the back that lets the light through).
Regarding the installation stage, the StoneLeaf team provides you with installation protocols and specification sheets, available under each product page and in the "Media" section of our website.
For installation, you’ll simply need: a circular saw for cutting, an orbital sander to file the corners and our High Tack polymer adhesive for a quick adhesion and an easy installation process!
